Students, faculty, and staff gather for Wednesday Worship in the T. Canby Jones Meetinghouse in the Quaker Heritage Center, from 12:15–12:45 pm every Wednesday during the school term. Speakers and musicians are usually faculty, staff or students of Wilmington College. Worship includes a message, a period of open silence, and occasional music. To the Quakers who founded Wilmington College, integrity was the defining mark of a faithful life. But what is integrity, and what does it mean in our contemporary world? This week's programs explore those questions.

Sun., Sept. 20: Dedication of "Who Sends Thee"

at the Quaker Heritage Center, 3:00 p.m.

"Who Sends Thee" was commissioned by the Wilmington Yearly Meeting Heritage Fund to commemorate the journey of Isaac and Sarah Harvey to Washington, D.C., in 1862, to express to President Abraham Lincoln their concern for the emancipation of slaves. The Heritage Fund hopes the statue will continue to remind viewers of the values of discernment and holy obedience.
